Why choose hay instead of grass?

Fresh grass may look tempting, but it does not keep, may contain pesticides or be picked from polluted areas (for example roadsides). Grass cut with a lawnmower starts fermenting quickly and can cause serious digestive problems. Dried hay, on the other hand, is safe, keeps its quality for a long time and smells great. It is also the best way to make sure your rabbit always has food available.
